Srinagar, April 30 (ANI): First-time voters lined up outside polling booths in Srinagar on Wednesday to cast their ballot in a crucial stage of general election. People in Srinagar came out in large numbers to cast their ballot for development and progress, despite shutdown called by separatists. Security forces were nevertheless keeping a close vigil to protect the voters. First time voter Shahid Amir said that he wanted to change the government there. Meanwhile, another voter, Shakeel Ahmed, ruled out any possibility of boycotting the elections. Voting in the world's most populous democracy is phased over several weeks, ending on May 12. Results are due to be announced on May 16.
