Studio Green has made an interesting move to advance the release of Karthi starrer "Kombam". It is seen as a good move to avoid a clash with big budget movies.

Originally, "Kombam" was supposed to release on 2 April, Easter weekend. But as Kamal Haasan's "Uttama Villain" and Udhayanidhi Stalin's "Nanbenda" are releasing on the same day, Studio Green has advanced the release of "Kombam" by a week.

Now, "Kombam" will hit theatres on 27 March, leaving "Uttama Villain" to directly clash with "Nanbenda". In the process, Karthi's movie will get huge number of screens for its release.

Early estimates say that "Kombam" will get 400 screens in Tamil Nadu for a week. It means that the movie will have a solo release and can make fantastic business if it opens to positive word-of-mouth from the audience and good reviews from critics.

Leading trade tracker Sreedhari Pillai announced the same on Twitter. He posted: "#Komban release advanced from Apr 2 to Mar 27. Good decision by @StudioGreen2 as it gets them almost 400 screens 4 a week b4 Easter releases. April 2 - Easter Weekend straight fight #Nanbenda v/s #UttamaVillain."
