Bollywood power couple Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan visited St. Andrew's Church with their sons, Taimur Ali Khan and Jeh Ali Khan. Photos from their visit to the church were shared online on the parish's official page with a caption, "When Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan dropped by for a visit to our historic, 400+ year-old church."

Another post added, "Today, we had special guests at our parish - Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor with their children."

To seek blessings at the church, Kareena wore a white oversized fit with baggy jeans and Puma flip-flops. Saif wore a fitted shirt and jeans, while the kids looked smart in T-shirts and jeans. Kareena, who had earlier restricted the paparazzi and banned them from taking photos and videos of her kids, allowed the church to share pictures of them on social media without emojis covering their faces.

Many netizens found it amusing how Kareena seemed to have changed her preference, while others questioned why the couple were treated as special guests. Some users in the comments section argued that Kareena follows Christianity and that her son Taimur may be inclined towards it.

One user wondered, "Just curious - does everyone who visits the church get an IG post?", while another wrote, "How is this visit any more special than every worshipper? All are treated equally in the eyes of God. The church has no VIPs!!"

"Anybody who comes to church other than the regular members is a special guest... it can be anyone," one social media user wrote. Another commented, "Sorry but every individual is special for our God... let's keep VIP status out of the parish... that's what actually separates us from others."

"In the church of God, everyone is special. Please keep the VIP tag away," one comment read, while another added, "I thought everyone is supposed to be equal in the eyes of God."

There were a few who defended the couple.

One fan wrote, "I don't understand what people are so upset about. It's alright if the priest addressed them differently... stop judging."

Another said, "At least they felt like attending a church for whatever reason. Just put a heart and keep negative comments out."

Kareena's kids' nanny had once revealed Kareena's spirituality

Kareena's kids' nanny had once revealed details about her spirituality. Last year, their former nanny Lalita D Silva said in an interview with the YouTube channel Hindi Rush, "Kareena Kapoor follows Christianity as her mother does. She used to tell me, if you like to play hymns, play hymns for my kids (Taimur and Jeh). Kareena also used to ask me to play the Punjabi hymn 'Ek Onkaar'. She believes it is important to keep kids surrounded with positive vibes."

The Church of St. Andrew, one of Mumbai's oldest churches, has long been frequented by residents and celebrities from the area. The visit also came on Palm Sunday, ahead of the Holy Week celebrations.

The Bandra area is also home to Mount Mary Church, which has been visited by several celebrities over the years, including Salman Khan, Deepika Padukone and Ahaan Panday.

Work front

Kareena recently wrapped up filming for Daayra, an upcoming investigative crime thriller directed by Meghna Gulzar. The film also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran and is slated for a 2026 theatrical release.

Meanwhile, Saif was last seen alongside Jaideep Ahlawat in Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins, a high-octane action thriller that premiered on Netflix and was directed by Kookie Gulati and Robbie Grewal. Up next, he will star in Haiwaan, directed by Priyadarshan, which also marks his reunion with Akshay Kumar.
