Kareena Kapoor Khan, not Priyanka Chopra or Deepika Padukone, to star in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Gustakhiyaan'?

Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan might agree this time to be part of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's next, after turning down films like "Bajirao Mastani" and "Goliyon Ki Rasleela – Ram Leela." Speculations are rife that the "Ki and Ka" actress has been showing interest in Bhansali's upcoming project "Gustakhiyaan."

Directed by Jasmeet Dodhi, "Gustakhiyaan" is based on the life of writer-poet Amrita Pritam. However, Bhansali's first choices were his "Bajirao Mastani" actresses, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra. But, both the actresses are busy shooting their international projects, thus it went to Kareena, according to SpotboyE.

"While Deepika is not keen on the role, Priyanka hasn't yet said a firm 'yes' or 'no' to Bhansali. So the filmmaker initiated talks with Kareena who seems to be gung-ho," SpotboyE quoted a source as saying. Deepika is working in Vin Diesel-starrer "xXx: The Retrun of Xander Cage" and Priyanka is busy with "Quantico" and "Baywatch."

Kareena is also showing interest in the biopic, which features Irrfan Khan in the character of Sahir Ludhianvi. "Kareena and Sanjay have met a few times where she's expressed a keen interest. She is keen to work with the filmmaker after she couldn't act in 'Bajirao Mastani'," a source told DNA.

"This is also Kareena's way of making amends. Deepika and Priyanka are busy with their Hollywood commitments so it seems doubtful that they will do the film. Also, this will have Kareena and Irrfan paired for the first time and that's exciting for everyone around," the insider added.

Apart from "Gustakhiyaan," it has been reported that Shah Rukh Khan and Ranveer Singh are teaming up for Bhansali's next. A few days ago, Sanjay apparently said he was working on two scripts simultaneously and cannot decide which one to begin first.

However, no confirmation regarding SRK and Ranveer's casting has been revealed yet, it seems Bhansali's other project, "Gustakhiyaan," might go first on floors. The Jasmeet Dodhi directorial has already finalised Irrfan and according to the reports, Kareena will be the leading actress.
