Bangalore based Karbonn Mobiles has released a couple of budget smartphones - Smart A1 Star and A5 Star, into the Indian market.
The new handsets are said to be the upgraded versions of the company's Karbonn Smart A1 and A5 series. They are available for purchase at online stores - Saholic and Flipkart.
Karbonn Smart A1 Star is dual-SIM 2G smartphone. It sports a 3.5-inch TFT LCD screen with 320x480p resolution and runs on the two-generation old Android v4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS powered by a 1GHz processor. Other specifications include 256 MB RAM, 512MG memory (expandable up to 32GB), 3.0-megapixel primary camera and VGA camera on the front.
On the other hand, Karbonn Smart A5 Star is 3G dual-SIM handset. It features a 3.2-inch HVGA display with 320x480p resolution and ships with the three-generation old Android v2.3 Gingerbread OS.
Under the hood, it packs a 1GHz processor with 256 MB RAM and 512MB inbuilt memory which can be expanded via microSD card. Camera wise, it houses a 3.2-megapixel snapper on the rear side and a VGA camera on the front.
