Karbonn A99i Budget Android Smartphone Up for Grabs in India; Price, Availability Details

Domestic smartphone maker Karbonn has quietly launched a new budget Android smartphone, dubbed A99i, in India with a price tag of ₹4787.

A99i can be grabbed from online retailer Flipkart. As per the listing on the website, the newest budget offering from Karbonn features a 3.97-inch display(unspecified resolution) and is powered by 1.3GHz dual-core processor (unspecified chipset) paired with 512MB of RAM. It is shipped with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS and packs 4GB of internal memory, which is further expandable by upto 32GB via microSD card.

On the connectivity front, the smartphone supports features like Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with hotspot, Bluetooth, 3.5mm audio jack, FM radio and interestingly, the smartphone also supports 3G connectivity.

Karbonn A99i houses a 5-megapixel rear autofocus camera with flash and comes with preloaded apps such as Google Play Store, Gmail, Google Search, Voice Search, Google Talk and Smart Apps. Other features of the handset include a 1200 mAh battery, Touch and Swipe Gestures, Notification Panel, Customizable Widgets, G-Sensor and Proximity Sensor. The handset is available in white and black colour options in the country.

The company had recently launched budget phablet Titanium S9 Lite in India. It features a 5.5-inch qHD screen with 940x560p resolution and is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core processor, coupled with 512MB RAM, and 4GB inbuilt storage (expandable up to 32GB) and a 2100 mAh battery.

It also houses a 8.0-megapixel rear camera, along with 2.0-megapixel snapper on the front for video chatting, and supports the connectivity features like features 3G, dual-SIM slots, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n) and GPS for navigation.
