'Karan is not right for you': Tejasswi cries, shouts at BF Karan Kundrra in Dubai-based reality show Desi Bling

Netflix India on Tuesday launched a slate of new shows that will be released this year. Apart from Mismatched's next season to Akshaye Khanna and Sunny Deol's courtroom drama Ikkis, many other shows will be streaming this year. However, a new reality show, Desi Bling has grabbed attention as it focuses on the ultra-wealthy Indian diaspora in Dubai.

The show centres on a group of wealthy Indians who reside in Dubai and provides an intimate look at their opulent lifestyles. It focuses on how social status, ambition and wealth interact in a city already known for its extravagance. Plots revolving around friendships, rivalries, ambition and status are expected. Tall penthouses, fancy cars and extravagant parties serve as the backdrop. There is love, betrayal and drama.

The list of contestants includes Karan Kundrra, Tejasswi Prakash, astrologer Janvee Gaurr, entrepreneurs Satish Sanpal and Rizwan Sajan, among others.

As per the teaser, Indian television stars Karan Kundrra and Tejasswi Prakash's relationship will be tested.

However, in the promo, the other contestants don't seem quite happy with Tejasswi being part of the show and belittle her by saying she doesn't fit the circle. While Pamela, a rich socialite, tells Tejasswi that Karan hasn't proposed to her because she doesn't let him speak, Tejasswi gets angry at Karan for talking about their relationship with his guy friends.

A part of the promo says, an astrolger telling Tejasswi that Karan isn't the right one for her.

Social media has gone berserk, with many wanting Tejasswi and Karan to get married. Many are also of the view that it's a scripted show and such scenes are bound to happen.

According to Netflix, the reality series will begin streaming "soon", which in the streaming service's lingo could mean anything from a couple of weeks to a few months.
