After Shah Rukh Khan's much-talked about special appearance in Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, it was being said that the superstar has been offered a film by the director. The said project has now gone to Hrithik Roshan.

Johar had apparently narrated the script to Khan, but he didn't quite like it and later turned down the offer to star in his film, a source informed Catch News. "Karan was keen to cast Shah Rukh Khan in his next film. He had a script narrating sessions with the actor. But he did not like it and Karan tried hard to convince him," the insider elaborated.

Because the suggestions Khan had suggested for ADHM worked in the film's favour, the actor apparently took the liberty to do the same for the film offered. However, it didn't go down well with Johar and he decided to approach Roshan for the lead role.

"Eventually Karan has decided to move on and approach Hrithik with the same script. Hrithik liked it and immediately agreed to come on board," the source added. There have been reports that Roshan is reuniting with Karan Malhotra for a project backed by Johar's Dharma Productions. However, the film in question isn't the one everyone's talking about.

Trivia

Johar and Roshan were working towards making an ambitious project titled Shuddhi. After it was delayed, the actor walked out of it. However, it wasn't an unceremonious exit. Roshan issued a formal statement wishing Johar and his team the best for the film. Unfortunately, Shuddhi has, for the time being, been put on the back burner.
