Kapil Sharma will soon introduce a new character in "The Kapil Sharma Show" (TKSS). The stand-up comedian, who is known by the name "Kappu" in the show, will now bring his brother's character, called "Gappu."

Kapil made the announcement on Twitter, saying, "Kappu ka bhat Gappu.. Coming soon on #tkss :)))) [sic]." It will be interesting to see who joins Kapil's team as his onscreen brother. His real brother, Ashok Kumar, is a police constable.

The cast of "The Kapil Sharma Show" currently includes Kapil as Kappu, Ali Asgar as Nani and Lucchi Begum, Sunil Grover in multiple characters, Kiku Sharda in multiple characters, Sumona Chakravarti as Sarala and Chandan Prabhakar as Chandu. Upasana Singh, who was part of Kapil's team in the former show, is also said to have joined the cast of "The Kapil Sharma Show."

Meanwhile, it was reported that Navjot Singh Sidhu, who has been appearing on the show as the permanent guest, will soon quit the series. After leaving the Bharatiya Janata Party and joining Aam Aadmi Party, Sidhu is reportedly under pressure to quit the show.

The former cricketer will reportedly leave Kapil's team as AAP wants him to "revamp his image." However, the creative producer of the show, Preeti Simoe,s took to Twitter and denied the rumours of Sidhu quitting the show.

"The Kapil Sharma Show" is telecast on Sony TV every weekend.
