After "Loham", Mohanlal starrer "Kanal" is all set to hit the screens this week. The actor himself confirmed the release date by creating an event on Facebook.
The upcoming thriller film, directed by M Padmakumar will be released on Thursday, 22 October.
The film also has Anoop Menon, Atul Kulkarni, Sheelu Abraham, Pratap Pothan, Honey Rose, Nikita Thukral and Akshara Kishor in significant roles.
"Kanal" is scripted by S Suresh Babu and the soundtracks are composed by Ouseppachan and Vinu Thomas.
Produced by Abaam Movies in association with Mohanlal's Aashirvad Cinemas, the film was mainly shot in Ernakulam, Mysore, Hyderabad, Munnar, Goa and Qatar.
The film's trailer has raised the expectations of the Mohanlal starrer with many fans giving positive responses. It is one of the most expected films of the year.
The makers recently released the film's two songs -- "Oru Venal Kaataai" and "Pathukke Entho", which also have been receiving good reviews from the audience.
Meanwhile, popular entertainment satellite television station Sun Network has bought the satellite rights of the Mohanlal starrer.
