One of the accused in the alleged gang-rape of a minor girl in south Delhi's Kalkaji area was apprehended following an encounter, while two other people are being questioned, police said on Tuesday.
The incident took place at Aastha Kunj Park, near Kalkaji Temple, on Monday evening.
According to police, the 17-year-old girl from Faridabad had visited the area with a male friend, who is also a minor. The two first went to a temple and later visited Aastha Kunj Park, a relatively secluded area.
Joint Commissioner of Police Vijay Kumar said the two minors met three people at the park who allegedly identified themselves as police personnel and used language similar to that of police officers and lawyers.
"They caught hold of the boy and allegedly gang-raped the girl. We received this complaint from the girl," Kumar told reporters.
The minor has undergone a medical examination, police said.
One of the accused, identified as Asif, was apprehended after a police encounter on Tuesday morning.

"The names of two more people have emerged, and they are also being questioned. Further investigation into the matter is underway. Other arrests in the case will also be made soon," Kumar said.
The two people being questioned have been identified as Hemant and his brother. Police have not disclosed the brother's identity.
According to Kumar, Hemant has claimed to have studied law, while his brother has claimed to be a Bachelor of Science student.
"Whatever it is, we are conducting our investigation in a fair and transparent manner," the police officer said.
When asked whether the two men being questioned were friends of Asif, Kumar said the matter was under investigation.
Police said further investigation into the case is underway.
