After the hit Njanum Njanumentalum song, another melody from the upcoming movie Poomaram is set to become the next trending video on social media. The song, which begins with the lines, Kadavathoru Thoni, features Kalidas Jayaram, who is making his grand comeback to Mollywood with the upcoming movie.

Penned by Ajeesh Dasan, Kadavathoru Thoni has been composed by Leela L Girikkuttan, while Karthik has rendered his voice for the melody. The song is set against the backdrop of a college youth festival, and Kalidas is seen participating in Malayalam poetry writing competition on the topic, "There used to be a river here".

The first song from Poomaram, which starts with the lines Njanum Njanumentalum had become an instant hit online, and is one of the most liked Malayalam songs in recent times. It has been viewed over 18 million times with over 1.1 lakh likes on the YouTube page of Muzik247.

The campus entertainer Poomaram is one of the most awaited movies in Malayalam, as it is Kalidas' first movie in Mollywood as a hero. The young actor, who happens to be the son of Jayaram, was last seen in the 2003 movie Ente Veedu Appuvinteyum, for which he bagged the National Film Award for best child artiste at the age of 10.
