Kaley Cuoco's first love is not her husband Ryan Sweeting. "The Big Bang Theory" actress recently revealed in an interview that "pets are her first love."

Interestingly, Sweeting reportedly knew prior to his marriage to Cuoco that he would be introduced to the whole new world of animals and had to pamper them.

"He (Ryan Sweeting) knew marrying me, this was going to be part of it. He was marrying into the animal life. They are my first loves. He's used to it though, he's OK with it," Cuoco told E! Online in an interview.

Cuoco's favourite dog is Norman who is a pit bull mix and is the love of her life. Sweeting knows that Cuoco can't stay away from Norman and no one could replace it in her life.

"Anyone that knows me knows Norman," she told in her interview. "My husband knew that going in. He's No. 1...I love that guy so much!'"

Cuoco frequently post pictures of her pitt bull on her Instagrams page and he was incorporated even in the wedding cake. Cuoco and her husband will celebrate their first marriage anniversary on 31 December.

Meanwhile, Cuoco was recently honoured with ASPCA Compassion Award. The award is a way to commend people for contribution towards animal welfare. After receiving the award, she said that she owed it to her parents as she grew up with all sort of animals. She even channelled a monochrome look in a pair black pants and a white shirt and her famous cropped hair was combed back in a puff on the awards night.

The celebrity who was honoured with ASPCA award along with Cuoco was Nikki Reed. Reed, who is currently dating "The Vampire Diaries" co-star Ian Somerhalder, wore a black sheer dress for the event.

"I'm very honoured to be receiving this award, but the person who should really be receiving it is my mother. I grew up with a mom who allowed any and everything to come into the house," Nikki said while accepting her award, as reported by Just Jared.

Cuoco is currently seen on the CBS's popular sitcom "The Big Bang Theory" season 8. She plays Penny on the show.
