Kaley Cuoco is reportedly being criticised for her new haircut. The actress, who gave away her tresses for a stylish pixie haircut, is seen in her new look in "The Big Bang Theory" season 8.

The makers of the film incorporated her new hair cut by showing Cuoco' character Penny taking a career shift from a struggling actress to a pharmaceutical sales representative but the new look has not gone down very well with the critics.

Many are of the opinion that after the premiere of "The Big Bang Theory" season 8 that Cuoco looks good in the spunky hair cut but not on her character, Penny.

Many fans took to Twitter to express their disappointment with Penny's new haircut.

Cuoco seems unfazed despite criticism. She took to Twitter and sent out a message by posting a photo that reads: "A tiger doesn't lose sleep over the opinion of the sheep."

The actress had cut her hair for a movie role and had suggested using hair extensions before reprising her role in "The Big Bang Theory" but the makers wanted her to keep the hair cut for the series. She also took the permission of her husband Ryan Sweeting before getting the new hair cut.

"I actually asked him before I did it, because a lot of guys aren't quite sure about the short hair," she told Ellen DeGeneres. "And he was totally cool, he said 'go ahead and do it,' not 'go ahead' but 'do whatever you want' and he loves it, he loves it. His hair is longer than mine now, which is so ridiculous," reported Enstarz.
