The growing popularity of Sivakarthikeyan is evident with "Kakki Sattai" getting more number of screens than his "Maan Karate", which was released in only four screens in Australia. His latest film has seen the light in 11 screens.

The result is the same even at the Malaysian box office as "Kakki Sattai" has beaten the records of "Maan Karate". The latest movie has earned ₹82.63 lakh (MYR 484,935) from 14 screens. His earlier film had released in 17 screens, but only earned ₹61.42 lakh in the first weekend.

The interesting part of the story is that it has made good business though big movies like Ajith starrer "Yennai Arindhaal" and Dhanush's "Anegan" are still in theatres.

Meanwhile, "Kakki Sattai" has performed well in Tamil Nadu, earning an impressive ₹13.34 crore in the weekend.
