Finally, there is some official update about the heroine in Shankar's next movie after 2.0. Well, Kajal Aggarwal has announced that she is part of the forthcoming movie, which will have Kamal Haasan playing the lead role.
Speaking at the audio launch of her Telugu movie Kavacham, Kajal Aggarwal said that she is working with Kamal Haasan and the actress is looking forward to work on the project. However, there is no confirmation on whether the actress will romance the Ulaganayagan in the flick.
Earlier, there were rumours that Nayanthara had been approached for the same role and was keen to be part of the project. Unfortunately, the actress' date issues forced her to opt out of Indian 2.
In the upcoming movie, Simbu is rumoured to be playing an important role with a section of media stating that he was playing the role of a cop. However, there is no update on it yet.
The shooting of the flick will begin this month. The make-up test was conducted recently and Shankar, who is basking in the success of 2.0, raved about Kamal Haasan's look.
"We recently had a makeup test for Kamal Haasan's role in Indian 2. All I can say is that he is on a roll. When we saw Kamal Haasan in the old man look, it gave me goosebumps. I was so excited and kept thinking how would the audience react after seeing one of their favourite characters on screen after 25 years. It was a great feeling," Shankar told The Times of India.
Funded by Lyca Productions, the upcoming movie is a sequel to Shankar's blockbuster film Indian 2.
