After a lukewarm start, Rajinikanth's Kaala has retained its momentum by doing a good business at the Tamil Nadu box office on its second day. As a result, the Dhanush-produced movie is expected to set the box office on fire during weekend.
The early reports emerging from the trade indicate that Kaala has earned around Rs 10.5 crore on its second day at the Tamil Nadu box office. The two-day total collection of the movie in the state stands at Rs 25.9 crore.
In Chennai and Chengalpet regions, the tickets are selling like hotcakes. It is evident with the movie raking in over close to Rs 10 crore from the two regions. It has done well in Coimbatore along with North and South Arcot regions.

Kaala has been released in over 650 screens in Tamil Nadu. The movie had a slow start in the entire state but did exceptionally well in Chennai on its opening day.
