Selena Gomez is apparently desperate to end the Justin Bieber drama that has been plaguing her ever since she started dating the Canadian pop star sometime in 2011.

The "Come and Get It" singer is believed to be in Nepal and Bisnu Sharma, a journalist, quoted her on Twitter as saying that she is in "Nepal to escape from American media. I wanted mental peace."

While Gomez appears to be taking all the right steps towards achieving mental peace, the first one being distancing herself from people who could hurt her, it might be some time before she is able to put Bieber behind her.

Recently, the singer responded to an Instagram user saying that Bieber preferred models over her, indicating how badly his various link ups have hurt her.

A few days back, Bieber was spotted with Victoria's Secret model Barbara Palvin, who was initially believed to the person who caused the Bieber-Gomez split in 2012 after she was pictured hanging out with the singer.

"That was it . . . that's why it was so weird. They [fans of Gomez and Bieber] thought I caused a big drama, their break-up."

"You know how the drama started -- Selena retweeted the picture. I'm okay to talk about it because I know there's nothing. It's ridiculous how this got to the news," Palvin told Celebuzz at the time.

But soon Milyn "Mimi" Jensen took responsibility for causing the Gomez-Bieber break up when she claimed Bieber cheated on Gomez with her. "I was absolutely shocked when I read he had split up with her over what we did," Milyn said, according to HollywoodLife. "I hate being the girl that broke them up."

Tongues once again started wagging recently when Bieber was spotted walking on a beach with Yovanna Ventura, with multiple reports claiming that the fitness model is Bieber's latest squeeze.

Meanwhile, Bieber released a track to his Instagram account on May 24 and from the looks of it, he is hurting. "You know exactly what to do to hurt me — it's working — it's working," the lyrics state, and many believe it might be a message to Gomez.

Another track released last month too had fans wondering if Bieber is trying to reach out to Gomez through his music. The previous track is titled "Hard 2 Face Reality" and it has Bieber crooning that it is hard to be alone.

"Sometimes it's hard to face reality/ Even though you might get mad at me," he crooned. "Don't be afraid to stand alone/ Don't be afraid to stand outside the door alone/ I know it's hard away from home/ It ain't easy all alone."
