Varun Dhawan grabbed headlines by stepping into Salman Khan's shoes for "Judwaa 2". The focus now is on his two leading ladies for the David Dhawan directorial and it is being said that one of the actresses could be Shraddha Kapoor.

"This will be the second time that Varun will be seen with Shraddha. Their pairing in the 2015 dance drama ABCD 2 was received well by the audience and the makers want to cash in on that. The other actress is yet to be finalised," Mid-Day quoted a source as saying. However, her spokesperson has denied the buzz saying she hasn't been approached for the project.

What's interesting to note is SpotboyE's source claims that Kriti Sanon and Alia Bhatt are being considered for the two vacant spots in "Judwaa 2".

"The idea is to keep the film young. Besides, Varun's pairing with both the girls has been loved in the past. There are strong chances, that at least one of them if not both, will be roped in," the insider added.

Despite best efforts to keep the pre-production work a secret, details from the look test (held in Los Angeles) have emerged. Popular Hollywood studio, award-winning DOP and "Fast & Furious 6" action-coordinator Spiro Razatos have been pulled on board, The Times of India reports. Also, a sky-diving sequence was shot with a stand-in artiste.

Meanwhile, social media users are going berserk over the announcement. Some have put out their wish lists featuring names of the two actresses who would look good opposite Varun. Ali Bhatt, Nargis Fakhri, Parineeti Chopra and Kapoor girl are some of the A-listers the fans have picked out.

In other news, Varun is currently working on brother Rohit Dhawan's film "Dishoom" along with John Abraham and Jacqueline Fernandez. The boys are training hard to look a certain way for the film. The young star even shared a funny video from their workout session a few days ago.

Alia has devoted her time to Gauri Shinde's untitled next, which also features Shah Rukh Khan and Kriti has been prepping for Dinesh Vijan's "Raabta".
