Dance reality show "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa" hasn't fared well this year and talks were on to wrap up the show earlier than what was scheduled. Strong contenders and unique choreography too couldn't lift the fate of the show. Celebrities, however, are the only redeemers.
This week, perfectionist Priyanka Chopra was on the sets to promote her soon-to-release sports drama, "Mary Kom". Chopra revealed her sporty side and packed a few 'punches' (quite literally) with her unmatched physical endurance.
A boxing ring-esque structure was installed on to the stage for Sophie Choudry and her choreo partner Deepak. While they pulled off their act successfully, the actress was then invited onto the dance floor not to show off her moves, but to do pull ups. From the pictures, looks like PC did quite a number of them.
The gorgeous diva, who reportedly trained six hours every day to acquire the needed physique, was also seen throwing challenges at the contestants.
"Apart from the regular do's like shaking a leg with dhak dhak girl Madhuri to cracking jokes with Karan, PeeCee got sporty and showcased her gymnastic skills on the show. Ms Chopra also assigned a fun task to the judges and contestants to punch on Karan Tacker's stomach, of course, with his abdominal pads on," a Bollywood Life report states.
Looking every inch a stunner in a white Armani suit, Chopra cleverly paired it with a text T-shirt which has quote from American baseball outfielder Babe Ruth. As part of promotional strategy, the "Barfi" actress will apparently be seen in 'made-to-order' tops with inspirational quotes by sports stars.
Slated for release on 5 September, Omung Kumar's "Mary Kom" is a biopic on the five-time world champion and Chopra will be seen playing the role to perfection. After Kiku Sharda's elimination, "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa" is now left with seven contestants: Shakti Mohan, Mouni Roy, Akshat Singh, Sophie Choudry, Ashish Sharma, Karan Tacker, and Tara Popowich.
