The makers of "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa" are gearing up for the ninth season of the celebrity dance reality show. While several names of possible contestants of the new season have surfaced, the latest buzz is that Mandana Karimi of "Bigg Boss 9" fame has been approached for the show.

According to a report in DNA, Mandana has signed the dotted lines and has reportedly been paid a massive amount to participate on the show. "Mandana was not keen on doing the dance show. She was in two minds because she doesn't think she is great at dancing. However, the makers convinced her. Having reached the finale of Bigg Boss 9 Mandana has become a household name and having her will definitely add hype to the show. After thinking about it, she finally gave her nod to it," a source told the daily.

Recently, there were rumours that Mandana has been approached to take part in "Nach Baliye 8" along with her boyfriend Gaurav Gupta, a businessman by profession. However, Mandana denied being approached for the show.

Meanwhile, names of a few possible contestants for "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9" are "Naagin" actor Arjun Bijlani, Shakti Arora of "Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi" fame and "Bigg Boss 8" contestant Karishma Tanna. There were also reports that "Bigg Boss 9" contestant Nora Fatehi will be participating on the show.

Ruhaanika Dhawan, who plays the role of Ruhi in "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" and Siddharth Nigam, who portrays Ashoka in "Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat," will reportedly be a part of "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9." The makers are also in talks with "Bigg Boss 8" contestant Sonali Raut. "There has been a verbal agreement. We are discussing monies now," Sonali had told the Times of India.

As for the judges of the new season, Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez will reportedly take the judges' seat this time. The "Kick" actress will apparently replace Malaika Arora Khan, who judged the previous season of the show.
