Weeks before the ninth season of the reality dance show, "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9," hits the screens, it has been creating a huge buzz among viewers. The first episode of the series will go on air on July 30.

The show was being eagerly awaited ever since news surfaced that Hrithik Roshan would appear as its first celebrity guest. Hrithik was to make an appearance to promote his upcoming film, "Mohenjo Daro."

However, the latest buzz is that the actor has backed out at the last moment and will not appear on the reality dance show. According to Tellychakkar.com, the Colors channel wanted Hrithik to appear on "Comedy Nights Bachao" along with "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9." Considering the format of "Comedy Nights Bachao," where the hosts take a dig at the guests, Hrithik apparently decided not to be a part of both the shows.

"'Comedy Nights Bachao' started on a good note, however it recently got embroiled in controversies. Top of that, the roast format isn't everyone's cup of tea. Hrithik, thus, backed out from Comedy and Jhalak both," a source said.

The report further said that Akshay Kumar might replace Hrithik on the opening episode of "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9" for the promotion of "Rustom." However, with the channel's insistence on every celebrity to appear on "Comedy Nights Bachao" as well as "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9," Akshay may also back out from both the shows.

Readers may recall that Akshay's last appearance on "Comedy Nights Bachao" wasn't a pleasant one as the actor lost his cool and pushed one of the stand-up comedians after he took inappropriate digs at Akshay's "Housefull 3" co-stars Lisa Haydon and Jacqueline Fernandez.

"Akshay is not comfortable featuring in 'Comedy Nights Bachao' after all the ruckus last time. We all know about how he got into a tiff and slapped comedian Siddarth Jadhav for passing racist remarks on Lisa Haydon. Things are still being discussed, but chances are high that Akshay too might back out to avoid unnecessary hullaballoo," the source added.
