The celebrity dance reality show "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8" is all set to go on air from 11 July, but RJ Pritam, who was supposed to co-host the show along with Manish Paul, won't be part of the show.

In an interview with India-Forum, Pritam confirmed rumours of his exit. "Yes. The rumours were true. I had signed the agreement. But, unfortunately, I have walked out of the celebrity dance reality show."

Pritam's decision to quit at the last minute has come as a surprise, as the list of contestants and the judges has just been finalised.

The "Bigg Boss 8" contestant attributed his exit to his fallout with the show's creative team.

"All this happened a week ago. Actually, I was not happy with the creative ideas that were happening for hosting the show. The production house was bewildered regarding the creative side of the show. Hence, due to production involvement and new ideas, I decided to simply walk out of the show. However, this decision does not affect my association with the channel. I'm still working for many projects for Colors," Pritam added.

The upcoming season of "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa" has a fresh panel of judges.

"Haider" star Shahid Kapoor has been brought in to judge the contestants, replacing Madhuri Dixit Nene. Shahid will be joined by choreographer Ganesh Hegde and Karan Johar. Dancer and actress Lauren Gottlieb has joined the show as the fourth judge.

Meanwhile, the confirmed list of contestants of "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8" includes Sanaya Irani, Ashish Chowdhry, Vivian DSena, Radhika Madan, Kavita Kaushik, Subhreet, Dipika Samson, Faisal Khan, Rapper Raftaar, Mohit Malik, Scarlett Wilson and Shamita Shetty.
