The song "Kuruthakedinte Koodane" from the upcoming movie "Paavada" was released on Tuesday, 12 January, by Malayalam music label Muzik247. The first song of the movie, also known as the "Joy Song", has been sung by actor Jayasurya.

"Kuruthakedinte Koodane" features Prithviraj, Mia and Sharafudheen and shows drunkard Paambu Joy's attempts at impressing a nurse (Mia) by showing off his good deeds so the couple ends up married. This is the eighth film song for which Jayasurya has rendered his voice, after the popular numbers "Aashichavan", "Chingaariyaadu" and "Premamennaal", among others.

Aby Tom Cyriac has composed the music and Harinarayanan B K has penned the lyrics of the peppy number.

The Prithviraj Sukumaran-starrer has been directed by G Marthandan and written by Bipin Chandran and Shibin Francis. It also features Anoop Menon, Nedumudi Venu and Maniyanpilla Raju in pivotal roles. Prithviraj will be seen as a drunkard, similar to his avatar in the 2010 movie "Thanthonni".

While Pradeep Nair handles the cinematography, John Kutty has edited the movie, which is being produced by Maniyanpilla Raju under his home production banner and distributed by Anto Joseph Film Company. "Paavada" is set to hit the theatres on Friday, 15 January, locking horns with Fahadh Faasil's "Monsoon Mangoes".

"Paavada" is the first release of Prithviraj in 2016 after his three back-to-back blockbusters "Ennu Ninte Moideen", "Amar Akbar Anthony" and "Anarkali". The expectations from the upcoming movie are sky high as Prithviraj's previous releases have made him a bankable actor in the Malayalam entertainment industry.
