Jay Z has been hit with a lawsuit by aspiring rapper Rymir Satterthwaite, who has accused the musician, 45, of lying to the court to dodge a paternity test to attest if he was indeed the father of the 21-year-old.

Satterthwaite filed the civil lawsuit in December 2014, and he has claimed that his mother Wanda was involved with Jay-Z in the early 1990s, according to a National Enquirer report cited by the media. This was much before Jay Z became the music mogul he is now.

Reportedly, Satterthwaite's mother attempted to make Jay Z submit to a DNA test in 2010, but a family court judge in New Jersey dismissed the case, citing that the court lacked jurisdiction over Jay Z, as he was not a resident of New Jersey resident.

However, in the legal documents filed by Lillie Coley, Satterthwaite's guardian, it has been claimed that the musician provided "fraudulent" and "false" information to the judge. Coley has alleged that Jay Z lied to the court when he claimed he did not live in New Jersey, where he reportedly owns three houses.

This latest controversy has once again brought unwanted attention to Jay Z and Beyonce's marriage, which garnered a lot of media attention after a video of Beyonce's sister Solange Knowles attacking Jay Z leaked online.

Since then there have been many rumours hinting at trouble in their marriage.

So what does Beyonce, with whom Jay Z has a three-year-old daughter, think of the latest controversy?

"Beyonce is in pieces over what a divorce means to her," a source told the National Enquirer, according to x17online.com. "But if Jay Z has fathered a love child, I'm sure she wouldn't have any option. There's only so much anyone can take! Jay Z would walk away with the majority of their fortune. Beyonce's put everything in his hands and she would be totally lost without him – so the idea of hiring a lawyer and going through a messy divorce is an unthinkable nightmare!"
