Bollywood's young 'patakha guddi' Alia Bhatt is surely creating the right waves with her second film "Highway."

Imitaz Ali directed "Highway' has been garnering critical accolade ever since its release. Nonetheless Alia who has shed her glam avatar for the road trip film has been lauded for her power packed performance as the abducted Veera in the film.

Several celebs have showered praises on the 20-year-old for her mature transition and the gritty portrayal of her character. While move rating site IMDB has already rated the film an impressive 8.1/10, here's a look at some of the celeb appreciation flowing in for the actress.

Javed Akhtar was all praise, as he compared Alia's performance to some of the industry stalwarts. "Milestones -Nargis in 'Mother India', Meena Kumari in 'Saheb Bibi', Nutan in 'Bandani', Shabana in 'Arth' and now Alia Bhatt in 'Highway,'" he tweeted.

Filmmaker Karan Johar, who launched Alia with "Student of the Year" lauded her efforts, adding "I felt like a proud Parent when I saw #Highway...Alia Bhatt is exceptional!!!

Contemporary Parineeti Chopra was all praise as she tweeted: "Go go go @aliaa08 !!! Highway is going to be huge and you are going to be the best actress and biggest star ever! Guys don't miss it."
