A seven-decade old territorial row over a chain of islands in the Sea of Sea of Okhotsk takes the centre stage of a two-day summit between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. Both the countries are not likely to resolve the dispute, but they hope to announce an economic cooperation agreement after their leaders finish talks in Tokyo on Friday,16 December.
