Dhaka, Oct 27 (ANI): As other South-Asian nations, Bangladesh too fails to represent women in a fair light and they ultimately face inequalities and other gender related restrictions. According to Senior Diplomatic Editor of The Times of India, Indrani Bagchi, the socio- economic and political status of women in Bangladesh is relatively better than in Afghanistan because of cultural reasons, but a lot more is to be done in this aspect. Bagchi also said that the country is Islamic, but not islamised as other South-Asian nations and therefore women in Bangladesh work to sustain their family.
