Jaguar Land Rover India launched XE sedan with 2.0-litre diesel for Rs 38.25 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. The entry level sedan of the Jaguar was brought to India last year during the Auto Expo and it was only available in petrol engine.

The new diesel mill develops 177bhp of power at 4,000rpm and 430Nm of torque at from 1,750rpm to 2,500rpm mated to eight-speed automatic transmission. Available in three variants – Pure, Prestige and Portfolio, the diesel powered XE need 7.8 seconds to reach 100kmph from stand still and it has a top speed of 228kmph.
The current petrol model of the sedan is sold with a 2.0-litre petrol mill that develops 197bhp of power at 5,500rpm and 320Nm of torque at 1,750rpm mated to eight-speed automatic transmission. The engine is also available in 237bhp and 348Nm of torque state of tune. Petrol powered model range of the XE starts at Rs. 37.25 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi.
The XE is based on Jaguar's light-weight Aluminium Architecture. The BMW 3 Series rivaling sedan also boasts of Jaguar Drive Control, torque vectoring by braking, all surface Progress Control, Meridian sound system, sliding panoramic sunroof and 8-inch touch screen with InControl Touch Infotainment system.

Jaguar's current range in India includes F-Type sports car (starting at Rs. 1.26 crore), XJ flagship sedan (starting at Rs 1.02 crore), F-Pace SUV (starting at Rs 68.4 lakh), XF mid-level sedan (starting at Rs 47.50 lakh) and the XE sedan. All prices mentioned are ex-showroom, Delhi.
