Dharamshala, Nov 8 (ANI): As a mark of tribute, India's northern Dharamshala town organises a new concept of fusion arts performance in a one -hour cultural event during which an artist paints on stage along with the recitation of poems and singing of songs composed by the jailed Tibetan artists. Hundreds of Tibetans enjoyed a great performance by various poets, singers and painters who left them mesmerized by their performance. Contemporary painter Karma Sichoe painted on a white canvas as singers and poets entertained the audience with music and songs composed by exiled Tibetans at the special Lhakar evening. Lhakar is often translated as 'White Wednesday' as Tibetans in Tibet and around the world highlight Wednesday as the Soul-Day of their spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, by celebrating various aspects of Tibetan culture.
