Odisha, Oct 10 (ANI): People got a visual treat during a cultural evening, which was held to mark 'Kumar Purnima', or autumn festival in India's eastern Odisha state. Artists from across the state converged in Bhubaneswar city to perform dance and drama of varied art forms on the full moon day. As per ancient tradition, on this day girls pray for their good health and to get a suitable life partner. The festival is dedicated to women power and young girls adorn new clothes and jewellery and pray to Hindu god for a wealthy future and observe fast through the day.The autumn festival also involves dancing, praying and is a period of introspection and purification.
