TV actor Barun Sobti won hearts with his portrayal of Arnav Singh Raizada in hit TV show "Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?". But his sudden exit left fans disappointed and they have been waiting for their star to return to the small screen ever since.

The buzz now is Barun may be back with a new show, which clearly means there's not much time before his fans get to catch a glimpse of him on their television sets.

"There is a plan to do a finite series, but nothing is confirmed as of now. It's in a very early stage. Nothing is locked. Hopefully in a month, I should have some clarity," Hindustan Times, Mumbai (15 September) quoted him as saying.

The television heartthrob, who was in Dubai last month for the premiere of "IPKKND" (dubbed in Arabic), said he found the voice-over funny but it went with the character.

In other news, the actor opened up about his decision to bow out of hit daily soap while promoting "Main Aur Mr Right", last year.

"I didn't leave TV for films; I left it due to health issues. I wasn't keeping well and I was losing weight due to the long working hours. I signed Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon only for a year. But the producer requested me to stay on as the show had just started to make money," Barun told Rediff, adding how he carried on with the show as the character had become very popular. However, he eventually took the exit door and the makers couldn't replace him, as result of which the show ended.
