Strong winds have caused a crane on a construction site to fall on to a busy road in Israel. The crane fell on to the motorway in central Tel Aviv on 25 October, after being battered by wind and rain.

No one was hurt, and no damage was caused by the collapse. The area is experiencing extremely high winds at the moment, with reports of power outages and flooding across the city.

Israeli media sources are reporting that tens of thousands of people remained without power as a result of the extreme weather. The local meteorological service says the rainstorm is expected to last until 29 October.
