The Indian Super League 2015 Player Auction and Domestic Draft have been a successful affair today in MumbaiReuters

After a successful Indian Super League player auction that saw some of the best Indian footballers getting picked by the eight franchisees, the attention has turned to the ISL Player Draft.

A total of 40 domestic players have been selected through the Player Draft, and the sides now have at least 13 domestic players each at the end of the draft process.

The draft saw the first-ever Instant Trade for Fanai Lalrempuia. The 18-year-old midfielder was snapped up by FC Pune, after they went head-to-head with Delhi Dynamos in the battle for the player.

However, an agreement reached between the two sides later and the youngster was picked by Pune.

According to the ISL website, "Any club may, within 15 seconds of another club announcing its draft pick, press its allocated buzzer to activate the 'Instant Trade' process. For the purposes of the Instant Trade process, the club that originally picked the player shall be referred to as the 'Holding Club' and each club that called for the Instant Trade shall be referred to as a 'Bidding Club'.

"The bidding club may offer a payment in INR to the holding club only and such payment shall contribute to such bidding club's salary cap for 2015. In addition to such payment, if an Instant Trade is completed, the bidding club's next pick shall be taken by the holding club. No other terms shall be offered and/or accepted during the Instant Trade Negotiation Period."

The Salary Cap for the domestic draft was ₹5.5 crore for each franchisee.
