The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will take on Delhi Daredevils (DD) at M. A. Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai on Tuesday. It is the 64th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2013 and the second meeting for the teams this season.

Overview:

The shocking five-wicket defeat to Rajasthan Royals has cost CSK the top position in the table. They can still be eliminated from the Play-Offs, though very remote. They have earned 20 points after winning 10 of the 14 matches played, and one more win will quarantee their place for the Play-Offs.

DD are out of the competition. They are currerntly in the eighth position with six points, winning just three of the 13 matches played. They will take the field on Tuesday without any pressure and this could disappoint some of the teams vying for the Play-Offs. They will be keen to end the tournament on a winning note and entertain their supporters.

Previous Meetings:

CSK have 7-4 win-loss record against DD in their 11 encounters so far. DD conceded 86-run defeat to CSK in their previous meeting this season.

Team News:

Chennai Super Kings: Michael Hussey and Murali Vijay gave a good start in the previous match against RR but the middle order failed. They will be expected to give a similar performance on Tuesday and provide room for skipper MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina play their natural game.

On the bowling front, they have Dwayne Bravo, Mohit Sharma, Chris Morris, Dirk Nannes, Ankit Rajpoot, and Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin. Jason Holder took two wickets in the previous match, while Sharma, Bravo and Morris took a wicket apiece.

Delhi Daredevils: Unmukt Chand (41), Ben Rohrer (32) and Irfan Pathan (23) put up a spirited fight in the previous game against RCB though they run short by four runs at the end. Skipper Mahela Jayawardena, David Warner, Virender Sehwag and others should perform if they want to win matches.

In the bowling department, they have Umesh Yadav, Irfan Pathan, Morne Morkel, Ashish Nehra and Shahbaz Nadeem. Their performance this season has been disappointing.

Prediction:

CSK are one of the favourites to win the title this season and they should beat DD on Tuesday.
