After losing three consecutive matches, Delhi Daredevils (DD) will play Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will at Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi on Friday. It is their first meeting in the Indian Premier League (IPL) sixth season.

Overview:

DD are a formidable team but they are in dire straits after losing all the three matches played so far. They need to pull up their socks and start performing in order to stay in the competition. They are currently in the bottom of the table, and will be keen to add some points.

SRH have four points on the score table after winning two of the three matches played so far. They won both the matches played at home but lost in an away match to Royal Challengers Bangalore. They will be keen to bounce back to winning ways.

Previous Meetings:

The two teams are going to play against each other for the first time. However, DD have good record against the earlier Hyderabad franchise Deccan Chargers, having won seven of the 11 matches played.

Team News:

Delhi Daredevils: Toporder form is a matter of worry for the DD. Skipper Mahela Jayawardena scored 66 in the first match but failed latter. David Warner is the only consistent performer for the team. They missed the services of Virender Sehwag, Kevin Pietersen and Jesse Ryder. However, Sehwag is likely to return to the team for Friday's match, and his presence will boost the confidence of the team.

In the bowling department, Ashish Nehra and Umesh Yadav were impressive in the previous matches but Morne Morkel and Irfan Pathan are yet to make an impact. They were humiliated in the match against Mumbai who scored a whopping 209 runs.

Sunrisers Hyderabad: Batsmen in top order to middle order have contributed to the team's total in the last three matches played so far. Cameron White, Hanuma Vihari, Thisara Perera and Akshath Reddy seem to be in good form.

Dale Steyn, Ishant Sharma and Amit Mishra performed well in the previous matches. Their performance will play a vital role in Friday's match.

Previous Meetings:

This will be the first time these two teams will be meeting. However, the Delhi Daredevils boast a 7-4 win-loss record against the earlier Hyderabad franchise Deccan Chargers.

Prediction:

SRH seem to be a more balanced side but the wounded DD are expected to bounce back. Playing at their home ground, DD should beat SRH.
