Amid speculations that iPhone 6 would be unveiled either at the WWDC event in June or a few months later in September, a new report has emerged that Apple Inc. would unveil one variant, probably the one with smaller display, very soon, but might push the release date of the other variant to next year.

Apple is planning two iPhone variants - 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch models - and only one of them will be released this fall, according to a research note from UBS Managing Director, Steve Milunovich (via Barron's). He said that 4.7-inch variant of iPhone 6 would be launched either in August or September, but the 5.5-inch model may or may not be released at the same time.

The 5.5-inch variant is expected to be priced more than the smaller model and is expected to boost the business of the Cupertino giant, according to Milunovich.

Meanwhile, a new concept design of iPhone 6 has surfaced online. Martin Hajek has come out with a very different design of the much-anticipated smartphone in collaboration with iCulture.nl, according to App Advice. Unlike other concept blueprints, the one by Hajek has square feature with bigger screen and is thinner than iPhone 5s.

Designer Sam Beckett had earlier come up with a mock up design of iPhone 6, which many say would be called iPhone Air, in his 1.37 minute long video. It shows a much thinner smartphone with a bigger screen and nine percent thinner than its predecessor. The video shows the device with 4.7 display (1920x1080, 468ppi) and 10.0-megapixel sensor with an aperture of f/1.8.

"This is an independently animated video for the purposes of visualising potential future hardware concepts," reads the disclaimer of the video.

Several concept designs of iPhone 6 have surfaced over the last few weeks and these are just speculations, but it is interesting to see gadget lovers sharing what they think the new smartphone would look like when it is released.

As seen in several concept designs, iPhone is expected to sport a bigger screen with a full scratch-free sapphire crystal glass. It is expected to sport a 4.7/4.8 inch or 5.5 inch display with a 1920x1080p (440ppi), or a 2272×1280 (510ppi), powered by the A8 chip (64-bit) and run on iOS 7.2, according to South Korean brokerage KDB Daewoo Securities.
