Intex launches FitRist fitness smart band with 12-day battery life, OLED display for Rs 999

Intex has entered the wearable segment in India with its first FitRist fitness smart band that offers up to 12 days of battery life and has a vertical OLED curved display. The affordable smart band, which comes as a great threat to existing wearables in the market, is available exclusively on Snapdeal for Rs 999.

Intex FitRist is capable of performing several tasks that will help the user track his or her health and more. The fitness tracker is water-resistant and connects with Android and iOS-powered smartphones to display important notifications, including calls, on its 0.86-inch OLED display with 96 x 32 pixel screen resolution. The syncing capabilities run deeper in the FitRist band as users can control music tracks and also locate the smartphone.

It is interesting how an affordable fitness tracker offers an extensive range of features. FitRist is equipped with essential sensors to monitor steps, distance covered, calorie count and quality of sleep. If you are expecting a heart rate sensor, there isn't one. The tracker has integrated Bluetooth 4.0 to pair with smartphones and the device comes with a unique Remote Shutter feature that can be used to control the smartphone's camera directly from the band. This can be helpful if you are taking a group photo from a distance.

FitRist's battery is one of the biggest USPs, which can last up to 12 days on single charge, the company claims. With its amazing features and affordable price, FitRist competes against other bands like YU Fit and Xiaomi Mi Band, both of which cost Rs 999.
