The Intex Cloud M6 adds to the under-Rs 6,000 segment of budget smartphones, making it difficult for prospective buyers to choose the right one.

In this article, we are giving a comparison of two such smartphones, the Micromax Canvas Xpress 2 and the Intex Cloud M6.

Display

Both smartphones feature a 5-inch display but with different screen resolutions. Micromax Canvas Xpress 2 wins by sporting a 720 HD screen while Intex Cloud M6 breathes out at 480 x 854 pixels.

Camera

The Micromax Canvas Xpress 2 gets a 13-megapixel primary camera with f/2.0 aperture, adjustable ISO, HDR, white balance and dual-LED flash along with a 2-megapixel front-facing snapper. However, in the Intex Cloud M6, the rear-facing camera has an 8MP sensor with dual flash light tone and an improved 5-megapixe selfie camera. It all comes down to your choice of camera preference, if you take selfies frequently or you prefer shooting the sceneries.

Processor

The Micromax Canvas Xpress 2 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek processor clocking speeds at 1.4GHz. On the other hand, Intex Cloud M6 is powered by a slower 1.2GHz quad-core Spreadtrum processor.

RAM and Storage

Intex Cloud M6 is a winner in this category as it packs 2GB RAM and 16GB onboard storage, which is twice as the Micromax Canvas Xpress 2's 1GB RAM and 8GB memory. So if you have lot of files to store on device, Intex offers a better option. But a microSD card slot on both phones gives freedom to add more storage up to 32GB.

Battery

Micromax Canvas Xpress 2 packs a bigger 2,500mAh battery that lasts up to 9.5 hours of talk time on a single charge. However, the Intex Cloud M6 gets treated with a 2,000mAh battery with a promise of up to 6 hours talk time.

Bonus Features

The Micromax Canvas Xpress 2 has an integrated gesture support, Quick Look to get all updates from different apps in one place, best-in-class audio sound system with Cirrus Logix Wolfson Stereo DAV, a camera widget, panorama mode for selfie cam and Native Damage Resistance technology to add extra strength to the display screen.

Intex Cloud M6 comes with its unique elements, such as an app called Blow to Unlock, which unlocks your device by blowing into your phone and Smart Wake to launch specific apps by simply drawing a letter on the sleeping screen.

Price and Availability

Both smartphones are priced at Rs. 5,999. The Micromax Canvas Xpress 2 is exclusively available on Flipkart and buyers need to register to participate in the weekly flash sales, conducted only on Tuesdays. Intex Cloud M6, however, does not require any registrations as it can be bought exclusively from Snapdeal.
