Indian electronics major Intex Technologies had launched Aqua-i5 on 10 June. Now, the new smartphone is available online for purchase.

E-commerce site Infibeam has begun sales of the new Intex Aqua-i5 for ₹11,600.

Intex Aqua I-5 comes with a 5.0-inch IPS qHD (540x960p) touch-screen and runs on the Android mobile OS v4.2 Jelly Bean powered by a 2000 mAh battery.

The smartphone houses a 1.2GHz quad-core processor with a SGX5T graphics engine and comes with 1GB RAM, 4GB inbuilt memory which can be further expanded up to 32GB through a microSD card.

Considering its price point and its high-end camera features, the Intex smartphone will pose a stiff challenge to local rivals Micromax, Karbonn Mobiles, Lava Mobiles as well as MNCs Samsung and Nokia.
