Intex Announces Budget Android Cloud X4 and Cloud Y2 Smartphones in India

Delhi based electronics major, Intex Technologies, today released a couple of low-cost Android smartphones - Cloud X4 and Cloud Y2, in India.

"Intex sold over 4 lakh smartphones in the last quarter and is planning to sell 3 million this fiscal year. This widespread acceptance is testimony to our differentiated and rich product portfolio, which is backed by a strong service and support network." said, Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, GM-Mobility Division, Intex Technologies Ltd.

"Our latest offerings in the 'Cloud' series offer an enhanced mobility experience to users who demand the best of features and performance from their smartphones and are economical too."

Intex Cloud X4 sports a 3.5-inch touch screen with 320x480p resolution and run the Android v4.2 Jelly Bean OS powered by a 1GHz processor with 256MB RAM and 512MG inbuilt memory (expandable up to 32GB). It also boasts of a 3.2-megapixel main camera on the rear side and 0.3-megapixel secondary camera on the front.

On the other hand, Intex Cloud Y2 flaunts a 4.0-inch touch screen with 480x800p resolution and packs a dual-core processor which can top CPU speed close 1.2GHz. It ships with Android v4.2 Jelly Bean OS with 512MB RAM and 4GB inbuilt memory out-of-the box. The storage space can be further expanded up to 32GB via micro0SD card. On the camera front, it houses a 5.0-megapixel camera on the rear side, whereas on the front it features a 1.3-megapixel snapper.

Both Intex smartphones - Cloud X4 and Cloud Y2, are now available in major retail outlets across India for ₹4,590 and ₹6,190.
