Chethan Bhagat, author of the bestselling novels "Five Point Someone", "2 States" and "3 Mistakes of My Life", among others, at 9.30 pm on 4 August, announced the title of his new book "Half-Girlfriend."

Bhagat has also released a video-podcast trailer for the book, which says that there was once a boy named Madhav, who fell in love with a girl named Riya, who spoke English really well, while Madhav did not. Since Madhav wanted a relationship and Riya just opted for friendship, they compromised on Riya becoming his "half-girlfriend".
The first chapter to the book has also been posted on Bhagat's official Facebook page. Since the announcement of the title, #HalfGirlfriend has been the number one trending tag in India, thanks to some of the most sarcastic and wittiest users in Twitterverse!
