The world is ready to celebrate International Yoga Day 2016, popularly called Yoga Day, on June 21. Yoga is a physical as well as mental exercise that apparently has a host of benefits. Considering the apparent benefits of yoga, several Bollywood celebrities have regularly been practising the exercise.

Many Indian actors and actresses have made yoga a part and parcel of their fitness regime. Several Bollywood celebrities, who do Yoga on a regular basis, revealed about the positive effects that this age-old practice brings in a particular person's mind and body. Not just in India, yoga has become much popular among a number of Hollywood celebrities as well.

Some of the celebrities have said that they start their morning with a dose of yoga and some of them have even released DVDs of they doing yoga. While International Yoga Day 2016 is round the corner, check some of the Bollywood actors and actresses who do yoga regularly and endorse the practice.

Shilpa Shetty: This actress has been a strong follower and endorser of yoga since a number of years now. Shilpa also released her own DVD titled "Shilpa's Yoga," explaining the various exercises.

Kareena Kapoor Khan: One of the leading ladies in Bollywood, Kareena is an ardent yoga follower and practises it at least for two hours every morning.

Deepika Padukone: Currently one of the top Bollywood actresses, Deepika has a fixed yoga schedule every morning. She credits yoga for her healthy mind and fit body.

Sonam Kapoor: Sonam, well known for her fashion sense, regularly does Bikram Yoga. She had earlier tweeted: "Starting bikram yoga today or as everyone calls it hot yoga. It's my dad's secret for looking fab."

Anil Kapoor: Like Sonam said, her father Anil Kapoor too is fond of doing Bikram Yoga or Hot Yoga and that apparently is the secret behind his evergreen looks.

Kangana Ranaut: This leading actress of the Indian entertainment industry also attributes yoga to her fit body and sharp mind. Kangana had said that she does yoga regularly and maintains a balanced diet.

Arjun Rampal: This handsome hunk of Bollywood was apparently inspired by Kareena to make yoga a daily routine. "You can't work with Kareena and not do Yoga. It is a given that you will have to include it in your fitness regime. She makes sure that you work out and keep fit," Arjun had said earlier.

Rani Mukerji: The Bong beauty was seen shedding a lot of weight during the movie "Dil Bole Hadippa." Rani had said that yoga, combined with weight training, had enabled her to do so.

Lara Dutta: The former Miss Universe is a strict follower and endorser of yoga. Like Shilpa Shetty, Lara had also launched her own Yoga DVD.

Lauren Gottlieb: Trained dancer and actress Lauren has been practising yoga since an early age. She keeps suggesting people to take up yoga as a daily routine.
