On 30 November, when curtains raised for the grand finale of the popular singing reality show "India's Raw Star", Rituraj Mohanty bagged the India's raw star title defeating other finalists like Darshan Raval and Mohit Gaur.
Mohanty received a cash prize of ₹50 lakh, Maruthi Swift car and a trophy.
The gala event, which took place at Mumbai's Film City in Goregaon, was a star-studded function, and Arjun Kapoor was seen promoting his upcoming movie, "Tevar".
The final episode of the music reality show, aired on Star Plus also saw the performances of popular singers like Kailash Kher, Mohit Chauhan and Shaan.
While Kher and Mohanty sang a Sufi number, Shaan and Gaur surprised everyone with their performance. Raval and Chauhan rendered a romantic song. The eliminated contestants of the show also performed during the finale.
Meanwhile, the event also made the headlines as "Bigg Boss 7" winner Gauahar Khan, who hosted the finale, was slapped by 24-year-old Akil Malik, reportedly for wearing a short dress during the show.
