New Delhi, July 3 (ANI): MEA Spokesperson, Syed Akbaruddin, said facilities were being made available through community welfare funds to pay for immigration fines of stranded nationals in strife-torn Iraq. Addressing mediapersons in New Delhi, Akbaruddin said immigration issues were impeding the evacuation of Indian nationals. About 10,000 Indian nationals work in Iraq, mostly in areas unaffected by the fighting between the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) and the national army. About 100 Indian workers are trapped in areas overrun by ISIL.
