New Delhi, July 11 (ANI): Indian workers caught up in fighting in Iraq arrived home on Friday and were greeted at the airport in New Delhi, as many others are still being held captive by the suspected militants. About 10,000 Indians work in Iraq, mostly in areas unaffected by the fighting, but scores of them have returned to India since ISIL began its offensive. Recalling his ordeal, a worker Prashant Mahto said with the efforts of Indian government they were been able to make it back to their homes. Expressing gratitude towards Indian embassy and government, another worker, who was stranded in Iraq, Ela reddy said the situation is tense in the strife-torn country.
