Indian Super League 2015 is just round the corner and it is time the fans should revisit some of the stunning goals from the last season.

Chennaiyin FC, a team co-owned by Abhishek Bachchan and MS Dhoni, were surely one of the best teams in the first edition of the ISL. They had scored some breathtaking goals against their opponents, thereby establishing themselves as one of the forces with a reckoning in the first season of the ISL.

The fans are going to relive the top five goals that five of the Chennaiyin FC players, Elano Blumer, Pelissari, Mendoza, Jeje Lalpekhlua and Bernard Mendy had scored during the ISL 2014.

Elano, the Brazilian had won the golden boot after scoring eight goals from 11 games that he played. And most of them were scored from the free-kicks. It was not only Elano but also his teammates who had come with absolute stunners throughout the ISL 2014. Pelissari, Elano's fellow Brazilian, too had scored an unbelievable goal against the Kerala Blasters. It was nothing but individual brilliance.

Mendoza is also in the top five goals list from the last season when he chipped past the FC Pune City goalkeeper. Next on the list is Jeje, as he came up with a sublime finish against Delhi Dynamos during the league.

Last but not the least, the best of the lot was scored by Mendy against Kerala Blasters. A delicious free-kick from Elano into the penalty box and Mendy was there to convert it into a stunner. He did not receive the ball but went for a bicycle kick and the ball zoomed past the Blasters goalkeeper David James.

One would believe that Chennaiyin FC were rather unlucky not have qualified for the finals of the ISL 2014. They had won the most number of matches in the first season and cruised into the semi-final where they faced Kerala Blasters. The Blasters got the better of Elano and co. and the latter could not make it to the big final.

Chennaiyin FC, under the able guidance of Marco Materazzi, trained in Perugia, Italy for a month where they also played a number of practice games against the local sides. They have been training hard and Materazzi and his men in blue believe that they can go all the way in ISL 2015.

Here are the top 5 goals from Chennaiyin FC in ISL season 1.
