Ranbir Kapoor co-owned Mumbai City FC announced a 26-member squad for the Indian Super League (ISL) 2015 recently. Having finished seventh in the first season of the ISL, the Mumbai-based franchise will be looking forward to give tough competitions to their opponents in the star-studded tournament.

"I believe that the squad has the potential and experience to go the distance. The players are very motivated and raring to perform. With a well-balanced squad, we will definitely look at scoring our way to the title. We look forward to the full support of our fans in all home and away matches in the 2nd season," Mumbai City FC's marquee player-cum-manager Nicolas Anleka said at the jersey launch event recently. 

Mumbai City FC recently signed defender Aitor Fernandez Lopez who previously played for Spanish clubs like Racing de Santander and Espanyol. The duo of Anelka and Sunil Chhetri will be the centre of attraction in the forthcoming edition of the ISL. 

Mumbai City FC conducted their pre-season training in Dubai where they played a couple of friendlies so that the players get the much needed match practice ahead of the big tournament which will kick-start from 3 October.

Mumbai City FC will play their first match of the ISL 2015 against rivals FC Pune City at Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Balewadi Stadium in Pune on 5 October.
