Bollywood beauty Sonakshi Sinha appears on Indian Idol 10 this weekend, and the actress made sure to have a good time on the music reality show. Not only did she groove with the Indian Idol 10 contestants and actor Jassie Gill, but also shared a family secret exclusively for viewers of Indian Idol 10. Sonakshi Sinha has earlier been a judge on Indian Idol.
Sonakshi Sinha and Jassie Gill made an appearance on Indian Idol 10 to promote their Bollywood film Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi, a sequel to the Abhay Deol-Diana Penty film Happy Bhag Jayegi that also starred Jimmy Sheirgill, Ali Fazal and Momal Sheikh. Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi releases on August 24, 2018.
Since this weekend on Indian Idol 10 is all about the family, Sonakshi Sinha agreed to reveal something about her family when a contestant asked her a specific question.
Sonakshi Sinha was impressed with the singing of Indian Idol 10 contestant Indira Das, who sang the number Chori Kiya Re Jiya from Sonakshi's film Dabangg. Indira's mother, who was present on the show, asked Sonakshi as to why her family bungalow is named 'Ramayana'. Sonakshi Sinha revealed that her home is called Ramayana because of father and actor Shatrughan Sinha and his brothers are named after the central characters of the epic Ramayana. She went on to say that her mother Poonam Sinha and her feel outsiders, because they are not named after any of the characters in Ramayana!
Sonakshi Sinha said, "I loved Indira's performance on Indian Idol. She's very cute and sings like a dream. And now moving to her mother's question, many people have asked me the same question but for the first time, I am revealing the secret. My mother and me are outsiders in our house as my father and his 3 brothers are named – Ram, Laxman, Bharat and my father Shatrughan. Also, my two brothers are Luv and Kush."
"So, Ramayana seemed like an apt name for our residence, but at times we also get to witness Mahabharat inside Ramayana," she quipped.
