The Indian Army and the Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) Police on September 27 recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition after the forces raided a militant hideout in Doda district.
The recovered arms and ammunition include one AK-47, 8-12 bore rifle, three grenades, two pistols, 2,263 rounds of bullets, two radio sets and two maps.
Meanwhile, the Indian Army has clarified that it was not involved in the killing of 13 horses in Prisal, Kulgam, on September 25, as has been reported in several newspapers. Further, calling these allegations viciously fabricated and bizarre, the Army denied reports that it had "rammed their Casspir repeatedly into the livestock."
Kashmir Valley has seen unabated violence following the death of Burhan Wani, a commander with the terrorist outfit Hizbul Mujahideen. Protests erupted soon after security forces clamped down on them leading to restricted movement of people and vehicles.
